What is an Implant?

Macdonald & Whaley, DDS is experienced in all major dental implant services. From delicate mini implants, to large dentures and bridges, Dr. Macdonald will quickly and efficiently install any dental implant while helping to manage your pain and discomfort. Using local anesthetic, patients will often feel very little during the implant installation. And because implants are installed directly into the jawbone, recovery times are often very quick.

Implant Services Offered by Dr. Macdonald

» Dental Implants - Dental Implants are used as strong, resilient versions of dentures and partials. These are long-lasting replacements for lost or removed teeth, attached directly into the jawbone.

» Mini Implants - Mini Implants are smaller than traditional implants, able to be installed in certain cases which prohibit or do not warrant the use of other styles. May also be called Micro-Implants.

» Tooth Replacement - Depending on the severity of the tooth decay/loss, our dentists are able to replace the entire root and tooth, or just the exposed part of the tooth.

» Implant Dentures - Dentures are replications of the missing teeth, aiding in the look and functionality of a person�s smile. Partials are smaller versions of dentures, usually only spanning a few teeth across, and are supported by existing healthy teeth.

» Implant Bridges - An implant-supported bridge is similar to a traditional dental bridge, but it is supported by implants and not by natural teeth. Often used when multiple teeth are missing, and used to reduce pressure on existing teeth and gums.
